Our journey began in 1952, when our founders, Hadji Kalla and Hajjah Athirah, embarked on a business venture in textile and agricultural commodity trading in Watampone Regency, South Sulawesi. Through dedication and perseverance, the business gradually diversified into non-textile sectors, including general trade, import and export, and later expanded into the automotive industry under the banner of NV Hadji Kalla.
Currently, we managed a variety of businesses that are integrated under one Company Group, Kalla, and becoming one of the biggest corporate groups in the Eastern Region of Indonesia, with our business center located in Makassar city. Kaila ‘s core businesses are including automotive, transportation and logistics, land & property, hospitality, construction, manufacturing, energy and education.
As an embodiment of our commitment to support the development in the region, Kalla commits to continue creating a breakthrough that can bring greater benefits to the wider community in our beloved country, Indonesia. Through this breakthrough, KALLA remains at the forefront in addressing transportation needs in Indonesia.
KALLA's business line in construction and development also synergizes in building a better Indonesia. KALLA meets the needs for accelerated infrastructure development by providing an integrated business line from upstream to downstream in construction materials, asphalt, design, construction, and property management and building management.
In the energy sector, KALLA continues to develop renewable energy sources to support communities across Indonesia by building hydroelectric power plants in various regions, with a total generation capacity of 1,835 MW nationwide. The oil and gas division is also advancing LNG distribution projects through virtual pipeline systems, in collaboration with both national and multinational companies.
In line with the rapid growth of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia, particularly in the smelter sector, KALLAhas established its presence through PT Bumi Mineral Sulawesi.
